It has been proven that with a combination bottom hardenss and roughness information, one can tell what the composition of the bottom is made of. The new P-Sea Fishfinder by P-Sea Software Co. provides this information. We have created a color grid shown here to further aid the user to tell what the bottom composition is. When you know the type of bottom you in you can select a color to repesent it just by clicking in the square and select a color. The track color will now change to that color whenever you in that type of bottom again. The black dot on the screen represents the current Hardness/Roughness level and will continously update for you.
