Graphical XTE Box Picture example

This 3-D cross track box can be displayed when navigating to a waypoint. The range, bearing, XTE as well as the name of the destination is displayed. A small ship icon at the bottom will graphically indicate which way to steer to get back on course. The box also has hot spots that allows you to set a new destination, turn the box off or set the XTE alarm.

The chart in the picture below is from the NDI #1, Pacific Coast CD. See the tip of the mouse arrow at the bottom of the screen. This picture shows the mini-help box in the bottom center of the picture. It tells the user to click when the mouse arrow is on "WP:" to set a new waypoint. The help box disappears when mouse arrow is moved away.
